“Gandha Gudi” is a gift from Puneet Rajkumar to nature: Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the late Kannada cinema superstar Puneeth Rajkumar aka Appu’s upcoming film Gandhada Gudi as the actor’s gift to nature, Karnataka’s natural beauty and environmental protection.
In his tweet on Sunday, the Prime Minister said: “Appu still lives in millions of hearts around the world. He was endowed with tremendous talent, energy and unparalleled skill. His upcoming film Gudhada Gudi is his gift to nature, Karnataka’s unsurpassed natural beauty and environmental protection. My best wishes for this film.”
Puneet Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini Puneet Rajkumar used her Twitter account to update on the trailer launch of the late actor’s film ‘Gandhada Gudi’. Ashwini Puneet Rajkumar tagged the Prime Minister in his tweet, writing in the caption: “Today is an emotional day for us. We release the trailer of ‘Gandhada Gudi’. This project was very important to Appu. Appu always appreciated the meetings I had with you. He would have liked to share it with you personally.”
He said, “Today Puneet is no longer with us, but his life and work done will always inspire us and continue to inspire people to inculcate the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in their lives.” It is worth noting that Puneet Rajkumar, a well-known superstar of the Kannada films, died of a heart attack on October 29, 2021 at the age of 46. His film, which hits theaters on October 28, the day before the first anniversary of his death, is nothing less than a gift to his fans.
