Various programs are organized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi in October

Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi will be celebrating many programs in different parts of the state in October. These include drama, folk instrument making and folk theater events as well as drama and music programs. The President of the Academy, Binaka Jesh Malu, announced today that the Academy is organizing a Folk Instrument Making Workshop from October 2 to November 1 at the Academy Office, which will bring together teenagers and young people from the family associated with traditional folk arts are able to participate. Ibrahim Langa has been invited as a Folk Instrument Instructor who will provide training on making folk instruments such as sargi, kamaycha, surinda and rabab etc. The main goal of this workshop is to preserve the disappearing folk instruments in the state.

He said that a three-day folk theater festival of the Lok Natya series will be organized in Khatu Shyamji from October 7 to 9. Folk plays will be presented by the teams of Ram Rahim Lok Kala Mandal, Maukalpur, Banshilal Khiladi, Chui and Marwar Lok Kala Mandal, Nagaur.

Likewise at the “Bikaner Theater Festival 2022” which will be held under the joint aegis of Anurag Kala Kendra, Bikaner and Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi, Jodhpur in Bikaner on October 14th under the direction of Narayan Lal Sharma, Turra Kalangi of Chittorgarh and on October 17th October organized by Narayan Lal Sharma under the direction of Dilip Bhatt, Jaipur, Tamasha style.

He shared that the state-level Om Shivpuri Natya Samaroh, which is organized in a series of plays every year, was organized by SN. From October 16th to 20th, theater directors at state and national level are invited to the auditorium of the Medical College, Jodhpur.

Malu narrated that on October 16th the play “Nat Samrat” directed by Ram Sahai Pareek of Lalit Kala Sangam, Jaipur, on October 17th in Samagam Rangamandal, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) the play “Agarbatti” directed by Swati Dubey was performed on October 18 at the National School of Drama, the play 12 Angry Man directed by New Delhi graduate Vishal Vijay and the play Pati Gaye Re Kathiawad by 19 ko Sparsh Natya Rang by Ajit Choudhary staged.

At the end of the event, Anuradha Arts Jodhpur’s play Main Tumhe Phir Milungi directed by Dr. SP Gets Colored Bikaner Monthly Theater Performance and Udaipur Monthly Music Night are organized by Academy in October.
